Pavilion Clock
Anstey Park’s new Finnimore Pavilion took another step forward recently with the installation of it’s new clock tower.
With two faces, one pointing towards the car park, the other to the playing fields, this handsome and colonial looking piece on the building is the latest addition to the new pavilion. In an article in November 2011, This is Alton reported from inside the site with photographs of the progress. You can read the piece here.
Now, with the red roof firmly on, and the clock tower in position, the Finnimore Pavilion is entering the final stages of the build.
On time to open in the spring of this year and hopefully in time for the start of the cricket season, Alton Town Council are confident the new look pavilion will prove popular with Anstey Park’s resident sports groups as well as the wider community.
The pavilion will boast a collection of male and female changing rooms, adequate storage for equipment as well as a club room upstairs that can be expected to accommodate up to one hundred patrons. Access to the second floor will be either by stairs or the lift, especially installed for disabled patrons.
