Write with This is Alton

Just like a newspaper, This is Alton needs to get stories coming in to keep the production going!

We are looking to find contributers to This is Alton to help keep the articles coming in regularly. Business owners and organisations are the perfect candidates for the role!

If you have stories or news articles you would like to tell a wider audience, then writing with us may be just the ticket. You do not have to be a gifted writer to tell your story, just the fact you are telling your story is more than enough to get it across to the readers.

This is Alton v. Newspapers?

You can write what you like, when you like, and it will be published instantly on the site. You won’t have to wait for the editor to read the item and decide if it is suitable for publication – it is yours so why shouldn’t it be published in all its glory? There is nothing more frustrating that writing a press release for a newspaper then to have it chopped and changed or to have the photograph omitted from it! By writing with This is Alton, your article will be published as you wrote it!

Who Can Write with This is Alton?

We want to hear from anyone who has a story to tell and can write on a regular basis but no more than twice each week and at least once each month. You need to be a business that is not afraid to offer advice or interesting information to our readers or an organisation promoting what you do within the community. For example, you could be a sport shop offering advice on keeping fit on a regular basis. Perhaps you are a pet shop explaining how to look after a rabbit on month and a guinea pig the next…if you are an organisation you can write a story about what you are doing next week, what you are doing in the long-run…the choice is yours. There are other guidelines below, but in essence, the space is yours to fill up!

What Do I Get for Writing with This is Alton?

By writing with This is Alton, you will receive free publicity for your business or organisation. By publishing regularly, you will be seen more often by our audience and hopefully will gain some business or new members from it. We cannot make any guarantees of course, but by keeping your name in the public eye you are perhaps more likely to collect new business or members because your name is more familiar than one of your competitors not writing on the site!

Your business or organisation’s logo can also be included in the biog if you can provide one for us. This biog appears beneath every article you write as well as on your own archive of articles.

This is Alton provides authors and readers all the buttons you need to post a link to your accounts on the 300+ social network connections available, writers can quickly and easily tell even more people!
